HOPE is a project that we started to help others learn about racicm and how to stop it. We are doing several projects that help to promote peace. They are: friendship bracelets, a peace wall of tiles, logo t-shirts, storytelling, learning about different cultures, civil rights, peace marches as well as a video and other posts about how our school wants to stop racism.
And much, much MORE!!!
Its is awsome
What a wonderful project and life learning experience for the children and all of us.Way to go again Onanole Elementary and community.
This project has taught me to stand up and that even as a teenager I can make a difference.
This project has taught me not to judge others before I know them. Everyone has a reason why they are and noone should judge them for that.
What this project and experience has taught me is that everyone is equal and not to do anything to treat people less than you. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover.
This project has taught me not to judge people by their race. It has also taught me about different races, different cultures, and that racism is every where, that it isn’t just about color.
This project has taught me to not judge people before you know them. It has also taught me to think before i speak.
This project has taught me to not judge a book by it’s cover and to be nicer to everyone. When we had all of the guest speakers in the school many people had their judgements about the personbefore we even knew their past. The one person that came in was a racist and I never would have guessed that. All in all this project has taught me life skills for the real world.
What i have gotten from this project is alot of experiance and i have gained alot of knowledge.I have learned more about racism and discrimination and about all the forms of it.I have learned that everyone is equal and to not judge others.I have learned to be more peaceful.
This project has taught me not to judge people by their colour of their skin.Don’t be racist,to other people in the world.I learned about diffrent Cultures.
Doing this project not only made me aware of all the many tragedies, etc. in the world, it was an unforgettable experience of a lifetime. One that many children and even adults are not able to be a part of. Thank you so much to the staff for making this possible.
What this project taught me was how not to discriminate, and that we can make a diffenece, and different kinds of discrimination
I learned more about different cultures. I learned to appreciate different cultures. I learned how big of a problem racism is.
To Onanole School, we really enjoy your blog it is very creative! It rocks! We found it fascinating and the people you talk about are amazing. We were interested to find out about some of the right and wrong things that are done or have been done in the world. We are thankful that you did such an awesome project so that we could learn about it and skip math class, just kidding.
THANK YOU
People like Rosa Parks, Martin Luther king Jr, Emily Murphy, Henrietta Muir Edwards, Irene Parlby, Louise McKinney, Nellie McClung have made a difference in the world and maybe ask your librarian if your school has some books on these people you can also go to Google™ Wikipedia™ to research these people and more. Check out our PowerPoint presentations on our blog .Thanks
